The following documents represent the work I undertook at New Mission HS. Please begin with my practicum summary below.
Here is the school's data-driven plan for improvement I developed with the leadership team during an August retreat.
Next, review my workshop model template to establish expectations for teachers I was supervising. This came out of the instructional leadership team's efforts to determine best practices across the content areas.
The new 3 files capture my Cycle of Inquiry work with the ELA team at New Mission. I took a collaborative approach to data analysis, managing meetings, and carrying out the project to promote teach ownership and deepen learning.
Please find a few observations and evaluations below. These constituted a large focus of my work and afforded me significant growth in the areas of supervision and evaluation using the district's new accountability and improvement system.
Here is my analysis of Sturgis Public Charter High School's handbook with recommendations for cohesion and relevance. Though often relegated to obscurity, I have found handbooks to be valuable in establishing and sustaining consistent and coherent policies and practices while translating the school's mission into action.
Here is the comprehensive PSAT data analysis I performed and presented. A major undertaking, New Mission was struggling to determine its strengths and weaknesses across grade levels and content areas. My findings took into account current trends and proposed approaches to improving student performance.
New Mission shares a building with Boston Community Leadership Academy and we jointly undertook a review of the plant's emergency procedures in collaboration with the school police. I assisted in coordinating the plan and problem-solving to ensure students and staff were clear about procedures and policies.
